| The Troop 179 Bronze Buckle is available to any Scout, Venturer, or adult. These are the same design as the buckles that every Troop 179 Eagle Scout is presented at their Court of Honor, Eagle Scout Buckles are denoted by being cast in Silver. These can be worn with any leather belt as part of the official uniform but also can be worn without uniform as well. The idea behind these buckles came from the coveted buckles purchased by Scouts who attend Philmont Scout Ranch. In fact, these buckles are made in Taos, New Mexico by an Eagle Scout that makes all the buckles for Philmont and donates the Troop 179 Silver Buckles presented to 179 Eagle Scouts.
