All,
The Appalachian Trail (AT) District’s Marketing & Communications team along with District leadership is moving its e-mail communications to Constant Contact.
For several months, the current system, supported by Doubleknot, has had many problems with its e-communication products and support. Comcast and AOL e-mail customers have experienced delayed or no receipt of our e-mails (eBlasts) and e-newsletters sent through Doubleknot.
We’re going to change that! There are so many exciting events and terrific opportunities for Scouts and Scouters in the AT’s Scouting program. We want to make sure you hear about each of them promptly and reliably.
Constant Contact is the largest, most secure and sophisticated e-newsletter and e-mail program in the country. Constant Contact employs the highest security and privacy standards. Our Marketing Chair, Diane DeMarco at ddemarco2@comcast.net, can answer questions you may have about Constant Contact’s features, security or support.
You have the option now, or at any time, to opt out of the e-communications we will be sending. If you’d like to opt out now, please e-mail the District’s Webmaster at margie@xecu.net. In your e-mail, please be sure to include your name and all e-mail addresses we currently use for you.
We will start using Constant Contact for our e-communications beginning December 1, 2012. Please note: we will continue to post key eBlasts on the District’s website under the envelope icon “Key District e-Mails”. The District web address is: NCAC-AppalachianTrail.org
We're looking forward to using Constant Contact and providing you with timely information in an upgraded format. We do need your help though. If you have Scouting families or leaders who do not yet receive our eBlasts and e-newsletters, please forward your e-copies to them. Encourage them to sign up themselves. We’ve got an outstanding Scouting program supported by expert, tireless volunteers: let’s make sure everyone takes advantage of all that’s being offered.
