To all Laurel Highlands Council Board Members;

As announced at the last board meeting, we will begin using a “Consent Agenda” for the routine business of the council at our December 14th board meeting.  A critical step in that process is providing you the pre-meeting materials in a timely fashion so you will have an opportunity to review consent agenda items and ask any question you may have.   Our intent is to deliver this information to you via this website.

Please take a few moments to review the options on this site.  Pre-meeting materials will appear in the “Meeting Materials” section of the website. Moving forward, if you have previously used the website to register for an event or activity, you may use your DoubleKnot login information rather than this generic ID.  In so doing, you will also be able to access a history of events and payments you have made, and have the ability to add or subtract yourself from our various e-mail lists.  In the future, each of you will be assigned a unique login for access to the site.

Our goal is to continue to populate this site with more and more information, so I encourage you to check back often.  The meeting materials for the December 14th meeting should be available around December 10th.  Remember, each consent agenda item will have a simple link to allow you to e-mail a question to the appropriate staffer for answers.

In the event you are having difficulty with the site, I would direct you to Charlie Huse for help.  His e-mail address is clhuse@bsamail.org, or he can be reached at (412) 325-7950.

I hope you find this methodology useful in your role as a member of our Board of Directors.  It is my hope that a little homework on everyone’s part prior to a meeting will afford us more time to discuss truly strategic issues in the time we have together.

Thank you again for all you do for Scouting and the Laurel Highlands Council!
