2009 FIELD SET UP AND PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
The fields will be available from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6th for units to drop off heavy items that will be secure, if left overnight. Due to a conflict with league softball that night things can be dropped off for inside the fields, but not be left on the fields. Any booth spaces outside the fields can be set up. If you choose to drop off equipment on Friday, Grand Canyon staff will get your equipment to your appointed booth spaces between 9:30 P.M. and 12:00 A.M. Doing this will simplify the process on Saturday. (The council will have a security officer on duty Friday night). A reminder that no vehicles are allowed on the field. Access on Friday night will be off the All American Way. Carts will be available to help you move equipment. A pass will not be needed on Friday evening.
The site will open at 7:00 a.m. Saturday to deliver materials to your booth site. If you have heavy equipment to deliver we have carts available to transport equipment to your space. If you are just delivering people or small items that can be carried, please do not utilize one of our carts. An “Equipment Drop Off Pass” is included in your packet. We ask that you drop off equipment and people and then ask the driver to move your vehicle to the Marcos De Niza High School parking lot or to the Arizona Mills parking location shown on the map included in your packet. A shuttle bus will be available to return you to Kiwanis Park. This will allow the general public to park near the event. Please encourage your people to park at Marcos De Niza High School or Arizona Mills as well.
Those vehicles dropping off equipment on Saturday morning are asked to use the following system to avoid traffic problems. If you are outside of the softball fields or in the south fields, please use the parking lot south of the fields to unload. If you are in the north fields, please unload off of All American Way just west of the fields. Unload as quickly as possible and move you vehicle to one of the parking locations.
