Join the Flint River Council for a Bicycle Rodeo and Safety Day at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 26, 2009. We will have a “Bicycle Rules” class, a repair area (sponsored by Epic Bikes, Atlanta Trek and Bicycles Unlimited bicycle shops), a slalom course, and a chance to test your endurance on our road course. All riding participants will receive an event patch, and all Cub Scouts that finish the course will receive a bicycling belt loop. Many Public Safety agencies with K-9, Smoke-House, Bomb Unit and Police Officers will be giving demonstrations. Also, the Georgia Forestry Commission, Operation Lifesaver and many others will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate some equipment. PLUS - The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation will have aircraft on display.
