Details:

Explorer posts and Venturing Crews are invited to stay overnight Friday, February 12th through Sunday, February 14th at a great lodge on Mount Hood not far from Mount Hood Meadows.

Groups plan their own activities during the day on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday night, there are activities planned by Post 686---they do an excellent job of planning it each year, and it's a lot of fun! All Explorer posts and Venturing Crews are invited to participate in the activities: movies, karaoke, games, prizes, and Cracker Barrel.

Groups may check in after 6 pm on Friday night. On Sunday,  groups will need to check out by noon.  Cost for Snow Weekend is only $20/person!

Where:
Aubrey Watzek Lodge near the White River bridge on Highway 35, east of Government Camp.

When:
Friday, February 12 (6pm) through Sunday, February 14 (Noon)

Cost:
$20 per person

Bring:

  • Food
  • Sleeping bag or blankets and sheets (pads provided)
  • Warm clothing for outside snow play
  • Footwear suitable for 1/4 mile walk into lodge from parking area

Please download this information packet before registering.  It contains information, maps, and blank rosters which you need to bring with you to the event.

Please note:
Chaperones are required (21 years of age and up), according to Learning for Life Safety Guidelines (please ask if you have questions). If the group is co-ed, there must be both male and female chaperones. 

Everyone will want to bring their own food, sleeping bags and/or blankets and sheets. There is a short hike in to the lodge from the parking lot.

All groups are expected to take out everything they bring in with them (trash must be hiked out)
