Sanborn Youth Hostel, September 13, 2009 Troop 251 conducts 3-4 Troop Courts of Honor each year. Scout policy encourages immediate recognition and as Scouts earn their advancements, they are recognized at regular troop meeting. To share with the families all Scouts that have achieved any honors (rank advancement, merit badges, etc.) receive recognition again in a more formal setting at a Troop Court of Honor. Parents & guardians are strongly encouraged to attend in order to recognize the achievement of their scout, and other family members and friends are always welcome. The Gala COH also features the "Changing of the Guards". New Senior Patrol leadership is announced along with changing of Junior troop positions.
