Discovery World Programs

Discovery World is now offering an exciting Scout curriculum for Webelos Scouts and Boy Scouts.  These clinics will allow Scouts to interact with certified Scout counselors and learn about science, technology, the environment and more in a hands-on, friendly environment.  Please contact Discovery world at (414) 765-8763 to reserve your space today!

Pettit National Ice Center

During any of the Pettit's Public Skating Session, the "Scout Skate" package is available for only $6 each person. The $6 price is good for all group members (family and friends too!) and includes skate rental, admission and a Scout Skate patch for each of the Scouts. All Scout groups must be booked 48 hours in advance of the desired outing date.

Scout Heritage Museum Tours

Scout Heritage Museum Trade-O-Ree

This is an annual event that takes place at the Milwaukee Scout Service Center, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  There is no charge to attend.

Scouting Speaker Available

Francie Van Wirkus is an inspirational speaker, author, coach, conqueror of mediocrity and three-time Ironman finisher.  She has a speech specifically for Boy Scouts that connects her experience as an ironman with making the rank of Eagle. She does not charge a fee for Boy Scouts, so please feel free to contact her with questions.

Racing an Ironman takes enormous amounts of preparation and unwavering focus. So does becoming an Eagle Scout. Francie offers Scouts advice on stretching themselves, transforming her experiences into practical advice on how to reach for Eagle Scout and beyond. Presentation is customized, either 30 or 60 minutes.

• The sport of Ironman and how it came about by a bet between three athletes.
• What it is like to race in an Ironman.
• What it’s like at the World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
• How the journey to becoming an Ironman is like becoming an Eagle Scout.
