As a non-profit organization, the American Red Cross accomplishes 98% its services through volunteer work. The American Red Cross of Greater Grand Rapids is able to save nearly a million dollars each year thanks to its volunteers.

Therefore, we always need people like you who want to make a difference in your community by getting involved.

Volunteer opportunities are available in the Barry, Ionia, Kent and Montcalm Counties. If you're interested in volunteering, our Volunteer Program Manager will be happy to speak with you. We'll work with you to match your talents, interests and availability to opportunities that best suit you. In exchange, you'll be rewarded with experiences that you'll remember for a lifetime.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the American Red Cross of Greater Grand Rapids.

We offer a group orientation for all individuals interested in volunteering with us. This orientation will provide all details concerning our volunteer procedures as well as descriptions of the volunteer opportunities that we offer.

Orientations are held:

1st Monday of each month at 6:30 pm

3rd Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am

The dates for our next orientations are listed on our calendar -- please click here!

Please contact Connie Edwards to let us know that you plan to attend the orientation.

If you cannot attend at any of these times, please let us know.
