For more than 40 years, the American Red Cross of
Greater Grand Rapids has been offering the largest
free transportation service in Kent and Barry Counties.

American Red Cross drivers take senior citizens, low-income
and disabled individuals to medical, mental health
and social service appointments.

This critical service is delivered almost entirely by
volunteers.  Each day, volunteer drivers, directed
to appoinments by volunteer dispatchers, transport
more than 65 individuals.  In a year, they log almost
400,000 miles for as many as 2,000 clients.

Additional volunteers are always needed.  If you can
help, or if you know someone in need of transportation
services, please give us a call.
