Remember the Thanksgiving Day Parade - Scouts marching and collecting food. Well Upper Perk is planning their own version of continuing Scouting for Food into December at the Upper Perk Hometown Christmas Parade on Sunday Dec. 6, 2009. Starting time 1 pm.
To the best of our knowledge, the Hometown Christmas parade is the largest all animal parade in PA with hundreds of animals participating in the parade decorated in their best Christmas attire. In addition to the parade, we have 17 other events going on in the Upper Perk Valley on that same day. Everything from a horse powered carousel, sleigh rides, gingerbread decorating contest, shopping / restaurant discounts, live nativity / singing / dancing, children’s crafts, reindeer guide, train displays, 3 historical museum exhibits, seven Disney princesses, B&B tour with complimentary wine / cheese and more complimentary cookies / hot chocolate than Santa could ever eat!
