The fire is dancing And the winds are talking...
Over the past twenty-five years the Chickasaw Concil, Boy Scouts of America has hosted ScoutBase, a Jamboree style event that allows youth in the Mid-South to experience the outdoor program with their family and friends. This year promises to be the largest event ever in scout base's history.
This year’s ScoutBase Program is dedicated to the Ideal Indian and the Scoutcraft ways. Our goal is to provide a range of educational, hands on skills and fun games to promote greater awareness and appreciation of the accomplishments and skills of the Native American people. Many of our original Scouting traditions can be attributed to the Native American way of life.
Our program will have something for everybody - the Cub Scouts, the Boy Scouts, the Ventures, the Explorers, the Adults and the siblings. Make your plans now to join in the excitement and adventure that is ScoutBase 2008 Program: Rendezvous with History.
