2012 Summer Camp Program Update | Crystal Lake Scout Reservation  |  http://clsr.samoset.org

We are pleased to announce that the 2012 Camp Leader Guidebooks are now available online.  Print copies are available by request through the Wausau Homes Scout Center (715-355-1450).  Please read the Guidebook, photocopy important materials and come with questions to the preview meeting.

Tesomas Advancement:  Our online registration system has been updated to reflect this year's advancement opportunities.  A detailed schedule of merit badges is posted on our website.  Units can now login and register their Scouts for their desired activities.  If you do not have a login, please contact Scott.

In addition, units can now register Scouts and Adults by name for the space you reserved earlier.  Camper names and a deposits of $75 per person are due April 15th.  These fees can be paid online or a check can be mailed to our council office.

Please note the online registration sytem will be going through a major update this weekend.  Major changes are being made to make the process easier.  As such the system may appear different from the online help file.  The document is currently being revised to fit the new process.

The Camp Preview Meetings are scheduled throughout the council allowing you the option to attend the one of your choice. Key Leaders from the reservation will be available to answer your questions. Leaders and parents are encouraged to attend and discover what awaits them this summer.

  • Tuesday March 13, 7:00 PM - Kennedy Elementary, Junction City (12 miles west of Steven’s Point)
  • Thursday March 15, 7:00 PM - Wausau Homes Scout Center, Weston
  • Tuesday March 20, 7:00 PM - Tomahawk Community Bank, Tomahawk

Beginning at the Summer Camp Preview, reservations will be accepted for 2013.  Units may reserve space for their Den, Pack, Troop or Crew. Reservation preferences received at the Camp Preview will be filled in the following order: In-Council, FOS achieving Units, time stamp. Reservation received after the Camp Preview will be on a first come, first served basis. Units are encouraged to reserve space early, as popular sessions fill up quickly. Reservations forms are available on our website. A non-refundable reservation fee of $5 per camper is due with your reservation. These fees will apply toward your camp fees.

Micro-Trek is perfect for those who have already done much of what Tesomas offers, but still want to experience an awesome program. Micro-Treks are miniature versions of H anna Venture Base Treks, which are week-long high-adventure excursions available to Boy Scouts, and Venturers. Scouts can choose to participate in the morning or afternoon session.  Units should register Scouts online. Each section (morning/afternoon) is limited to 10 participants.

Camperships:  The Tesomas Alumni Camping Trust has been established to assist any Scout or leader with financial need to experience camping.  Request must be made using the campership application for each person by April 1.

If you have further questions about our summer programs, feel free to contact Scott Domino, Camping Director at 715-365-3111 or camp@samoset.org.  We look forward to seeing you at camp this summer to Live the Game!
