Garden State Chapter 73, Inc., based at Essex County (Also known as Caldwell) Airport (KCDW), is a membership organization of about 20 sport aviation enthusiasts in and around Essex County, New Jersey. We are one of about a thousand chapters worldwide that are part of the Experimental Aircraft Association, with a membership of about 150,000, headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. At our monthly meetings we provide a social, educational, recreational, or entertaining program for our members and their guests.
Our members have a diverse background and fly and have built a wide variety of aircraft. We are one of the pioneer chapters, having been founded in Bloomfield, New Jersey in 1959.
We sponsor Young Eagle Rallies to provide free introductory flights to young persons ages 7 to 18 years of age and host the EAA B17 "Aluminum Overcast" during its nation-wide tour.
We normally meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 8:00 PM. Our meetings are hosted by the Northern NJ Red Cross, and we meet at their building near Essex County Airport, at the address shown below.
Guests and visitors are always welcome! Come join us!
