The Deseret Peak District is one of 19 Districts in the Great Salt Lake Council. The Deseret Peak District covers all 6,900 sq miles of Tooele County, Utah and serves the needs of over 3,500 youth in approx 310 units.

Varsity Scout Rendezvous - One our most popular events. Please let your boys experience these age appropriate activities, including games challenges and shooting sports. Please come to Round Table for information.

Click HERE to find information on Troop 1109 (the special needs unit chartered in Tooele County).  Boys, parents and Ecclesiastical leaders can decide if the boy's needs are best met in the home unit, the special needs unit or a combination of both. There is no upper age limit for participants.


Leader Specific Training -- April 24th, 2014 -- Tooele Stake.  For all Adult Leaders with any kind of job in scouting. If you have not yet been through the "Leader Specific" training for the position you currently hold, please plan on attending this event. Information HERE. (Outdoor Leader Skills will be held during the Camporee on 25 April)

Baloo Training -- April 19th, 2014 --  This training is MANDATORY for any pack desiring to hold outdoor events. The course teaches outdoor-related skills through demonstration and hands-on practice.  Please click HERE for an information flyer.

Den Chief Training Extravaganza -- August 2, 2014 -- A Boy Scout as a role model and helper in the den is a wonderful advantage in a well run den. This training is designed to help the Scouts and adult Den Leaders learn how to make the best use of a Den Chief. Click HERE for a flyer.

Youth Protection Training -- Remember... "Youth Protection Training" is a requirement BEFORE an adult can register in any position.  It is taught Nov - Jan (Re-chartering time), during Round Table.  Youth Protection Training is also available online at
