Be Prepared....
for these upcoming events
POW WOW: November 21st
Lake Forest High School, Felton, DE; 8:45am - 4:30pm
A Pow Wow is a training conference that takes place in a festive atmosphere - it is a convention for pack leaders. Every Cubmaster should take all Cub Scout leaders to this learning extravaganza. The Pow Wow offers a time for parents and all experienced, new, and prospective leaders to learn new things, share ideas, and see what other packs are doing. Even if you're not involved with Cubs - maybe a Boy Scout Leader or Girl Scout Leader? - you can benefit and have fun at Pow Wow!!
Cost: $15

What You Should Know
About our District...
The Choptank District is geographically the largest district of the Del-mar-va Council of the Boys Scouts of America and includes scouts in the four Maryland counties of Caroline, Dorchester, Queen Anne, and Talbot.
The Choptank District is also home to the Henson Scout Reservation, one of the two camps of the Del-mar-va Council.
A district is set up the same way that a pack, troop, or crew is set up. There is a committee that plans upcoming events for the district just as there is a committee that plans events for the unit.
The committee is led by the District Chair who is ultimately responsible for the way the district is run—just as a Committee Chair is responsible for their unit.
The District Chair and members of the District Committee are all volunteers. Only one staff member from the Boy Scouts of America is assigned to each district to assist where needed.
