Mobile-Friendly Registration Pages for All Organizations On April 29, 2015!

We’re pleased to announce that our new mobile-friendly registration pages will be available for all of our clients on 4/29/2015. Several organizations already use the mobile-friendly pages and report that they’re attractive and easy to use on smartphones and tablets as well as on desktop computers.

The pages will be implemented for the purchase of calendar activity events, memberships, facility reservations, dues and fundraisers. They will be implemented for program registration after summer camp signups are complete. You don’t need to make any changes to your site—the new pages will seamlessly integrate with all of your existing events. 

What is the “Search and Select Owner” Page?

Sometimes, you or your staff will need to enter registration information on behalf of a constituent. To make it easy for administrators to register other people, you can use the Search and Select Owner page to look up the constituent’s member profile at the beginning of the registration process. (For programs using Group Signup, the Select Group page is displayed instead.)

When a logged-on administrator begins a registration or reservation, the Search and Select Owner page is automatically displayed. When you select an owner, all of the information associated with that person—name, email address, etc.—will automatically be available for you to use during the registration. You can even access a list of people that the member has signed up before!

To search for and select the registration owner, follow these steps:

  1. In the fields, enter identifying information about the registration owner.
  2. Click Search. A list of member profiles matching the criteria will be displayed.
  3. If the registration owner’s profile is in the list, click Select and continue the registration.
  4. If the registration owner’s profile is not displayed, enter different criteria or click New Owner to begin the registration process. 

WEBINARS: Basic Doubleknot Administrator Training

Videos for all three of the basic administrator training videos are now available online. These webinars are useful for new staff who’ve joined your organization as well as existing staff who haven’t been trained or who’d like to brush up their basic skills. (If your organization only has one person who uses Doubleknot, it’s a good idea to designate and train at least one backup administrator.) 

  • Basic Administrator Training 1 of 3:  Topics include setting up financial accounts, configuring calendar activity events for named and unnamed registrants, using registrant attributes and testing events.
  • Basic Administrator Training 2 of 3: Topics including using event forms, setting up payment schedules and billing reminder notifications, and posting payments and adjustments to a registration. 
  • Basic Administrator Training 3 of 3: Topics include copying events, copying and moving registration forms, moving registrations from one event to another, setting up event categories, understanding event reports and using the Communication Center.
