BEST PRACTICE: Increase Registrations, Memberships, and Purchases with Discounts!
Discounts help organizations attract new constituents, reward your current supporters and members, and increase overall purchases. With Doubleknot’s Discounts module—the most comprehensive discount management solution in the industry—you can offer any kind of discount (percentage or dollar value) on anything and everything you sell online. Here are just a few examples:

Promote events with “Register two and receive a third free” discounts. (You can also assign discounts to registrant types—for example, you can offer one free adult registration for every three child registrations.)
Cross-promote by offering discounts on a second event registration for customers who register for the first.
Increase merchandise sales with coupon codes, cross-promotion, or product discounts linked to registrations or ticket purchases.
Increase family participation with registration discounts for siblings or multiple sessions.
Attract new members with discounted fees, or apply the cost of a ticket or registration to a membership purchase.

COMING SOON: Interface Enhancements for Discount Management
In the next few weeks, we’ll be rolling out enhancements that will make it even easier to manage discounts related to event registration, ticketing, memberships, and store purchases.

New Discounts Management Page
The new Discounts page will allow you to see all the discounts associated with an event. Information includes the discounted item, the qualifying purchase to receive the discount, a description of the discount, and the discount code (if used).

New Manage Discounts Utility
The Manage Discounts utility has the same features as the Discounts page for a single event, but it lists all the discounts related to events. As a result, you can easily view, modify, and assign any discounts that’s ever been offered.

The new Manage Discounts utility page shows all the discounts created in Event Management.

Assign Existing Discounts to Other Events
If you’ve created a discount that you’d like to use for other events, you can now use the Assign Discounts feature to easily copy the discount to as many other events as you like.

Assigning discounts to additional events is easy.
