Friday's Doubleknot News - Vol. 136 10/11/2013 ENHANCEMENT: The Program Sub-Activities Feature Has Been Renamed If you use the Programs feature in Event Management, you know that you can set up program sessions to include activities or classes that registrants sign up for. In the past, these activities and classes were sometimes called “Session Events” and sometimes called “Sub-Activities.” To make program configuration and management easier, we’ve consistently changed the name of this feature to Session Events. So, when you set up the classes and activities in a session, you’ll set up Session Event Groups that contain Session Events. The setup is exactly the same—only the name has changed! And, as always, when you’re at the Manage a Program Session page, the session events will continue to be called session events. BEST PRACTICE: Use Financial Accounts for Event and Product Sales To make it easier to determine the revenues from event and products sales to post to General Ledger, we recommend creating separate financial accounts in Doubleknot for these kinds of purchases. As a result, the Revenue Report will display the total online revenue that should be posted to GL for each kind of purchase. Contact us at doubleknot@doubleknot.com for more information.
