Why Become a Trained Leader?

The Scouts in your unit deserve the best possible program you can provide them; and Scouts with trained leaders have more fun, and are more likely to stay.

Adult Leader Training courses provide you with the information you need to be an effective and positive leader.

How to Become a Trained Boy Scout Leader?
  • Youth Protection Training (available online)
  • Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training
  • Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills
What Do You Need to Bring to the Training Session?

Bring a copy of the current version of the Boy Scout Handbook, and your Scoutmaster Handbook if you have one.

Please wear your Scout Leader Uniform.

How Do I Register?

Register online for this event or please send your name, Troop #, position, e-mail and phone number to apwright@bsamail.org or call the Santa Maria Scout Office at 925-1955 to RSVP.

Cost?  $5.00 to cover snacks and supplies will be collected at the door.
