SUMMER CAMP STAFF APPLICATIONS

NOW BEING ACCEPTED

Do you want to be part of a great summer camp staff next year? We are now accepting applications for Summer 2013.  Download your application by clicking here.  After you have completed your application and obtained all the required signatures, mail it to Ron Walsh, Program Director, Rancho Alegre, 2680 Highway 154, Santa Barbara, CA 93105.

 

Applicants must be or will become members of the Boy Scouts of America, Los Padres Council.  Applicants must be at least 15 years of age (exception for Counselors-in-Training who may be 14 years old).  Certain leadership positions have a higher age limit. 

Scheduled dates of training and camp:

Aquatics Staff:
  • Woodland Discovery Camp and Lifeguard Academy - June 16-21
  • Staff Training - June 30 - July 6
  • Boy Scout Camp Week 1 - July 7 - 13
  • Boy Scout Week 2 - July 15 - 20
  • Cub Scout and Venturing Half Weeks - July 21 - 27
  • After July 28, there may be leased groups who require lifeguard services.

 All Other Staff:

  • Staff Training - June 30 - July 6
  • Boy Scout Camp Week 1 - July 7 - 13
  • Boy Scout Week 2 - July 15 - 20
  • Cub Scout and Venturing Half Weeks - July 21 - 27

All applicants must be present for Staff Training Week (June 30 - July 6) and Boy Scout Week 2 (July 15 - 20).  No exceptions.  A limited number of staff may be allowed to take off during Boy Scout Week 1 (July 7 - 13) or Cub Scout and Venturing Half Weeks (July 21 - 27).  This must be noted on your application if you wish to be off on one or both of these two weeks.
