Adult Leader Training

Training builds the confidence of leaders, which in turn builds the confidence of unit members in their leaders. This helps ensure success. It increases the tenure of leaders because they derive greater satisfaction from their job. And it gives leaders the chance to become acquainted with other leaders.

Adult Leader Training Continuum

Many training events are available online at the BSA Online Learning Center, which you may complete at your convenience via the internet. You will need to setup a profile at MyScouting.org to record your online training. Please be sure to print certificates of completion of online training for your records.

CPR Training 
   Open to registered adult Scouters, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and Explorers. 
   January 30, February 13, or March 13 at Thompson Baker Scout Service Center

Climbing Instructor Training
   Open to registered adult Scouters
   February 5-7 at Camp Echockotee

Trail to Eagle Conference
   Open to First Class - Life Scouts, Parents of First Class - Life Scouts, registered adult Scouters (especially Troop 
   Committee members interested in helping Scouts reach Eagle)
 
      February 6 at Camp Echockotee
      February 20 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Gainesville

CPR Training
   Open to registered adult Scouters, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and Explorers.
   February 27, March 27, or April 17 at Camp Echockotee

Swimming and Water Rescue
   Open to registered adult Scouters and Boy Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and Explorers that are at least 16yrs old. 
   March 27 at Camp Echockotee

Paddle Craft Safety
   Open to registered adult Scouters and Boy Scouts, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and Explorers that are at least 16 yrs old.
