What Makes a Trained Leader?

 

A leader is considered "Trained" when he or she has completed the four main trainings that make up the "Basic Leader Training" continuum: Youth Protection, Fast Start, This is Scouting and Leader Specific Training.

Cub Scout Leader

  • Youth Protection Training
  • This is Scouting
  • Cub Scout Leader Specific

Cub Scout Committee Member

  • Youth Protection Training
  • This is Scouting
  • Cub Scout Committee Challenge (you can substitute Cub Scout Leader Specific Training)

Cub Scout Webelos Leader - Additional

  • Webelos Leader Outdoor Training (required for your Webelos Knot)

Cub Scout Camping - Additional

  • Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) (required if you take your Cub Pack family camping)
