Registration Process

There is a multi-step process to become fully registered.

Recent Changes to the Registration Process

A photo is no longer required during registration. The applicant can now choose to skip the photo upload step to get to the application. It will be necessary to upload a photo to the applicants Summit account before jamboree credentials are ordered, but it does not have to be completed in order to access the application. It can be completed at a later date. It is the opinion of the council that the photo be uploaded as soon as possible, if not during the registration process.

The parental consent for all applicants under the age of 18 will no longer be required online. This will eliminate the necessity of the parent creating a parallel parent account, linking their child's application to their account and submitting it through the parent account to complete the application. In place of that, the signatures needed by the Jamboree Department are now part of the "Request to Attend" form. Once this form is received at the local council, it will need to be scanned and emailed to the Jamboree. The Jamboree Registration team will then mark the required "parental consent received" on the application.

NoteNew to the 2013 National Scout Jamboree is the invitation for co-ed Venturing crews to join other attendees as participants. Because there is a requirement for applicants to be (1) currently registered with the BSA to access the jamboree applications and (2) at least 13 years of age and a graduate of the 8th grade or 14 years of age to join Venturing, there is a small group of potential attendees that is currently blocked from submitting an application. The males can register with a troop and submit the Scout application until the time they meet the requirements to switch to a Venturing application. The work-around for females is to notify the council that they are interested in attending the jamboree with the council by completing this interest form
