  • History of Scouting in Worceter County

There are many stories to tell about the contributions made by scouts right here in Worcester County. Beginning in 1912 when scouts mobilized to assist with a city-wide housefly eradication, to planting over 100,000 trees in the late 1920s, to selling war bonds and helping with... more.

Scouts in the Community - Giving Back

    Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food is the nation's largest one-day food drive, raising 15 percent of area food pantries' yearly supply and feeding the hungry in the community for three months.

    Urban Scouting Program

The Mohegan Council is working hard to deliver the program to youth living in potentially high risk environments.  The Urban Outreach initiative was introduced several years ago by the Mohegan Council Executive Board to ensure every scout has a chance to participate in the scouting program.  Scouting, by emphasizing ethics and moral values, addresses many of the social concerns of parents and youth in our country.
