We still have a few openings remaining for next summer’s Philmont Trek!

We’re holding our last Information Night for scouts and their parents on August 17, 2009 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Brigham Hill Community Barn in Grafton (37 Wheeler Road, N. Grafton).
Anyone interested in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity should plan to attend. We will have scouts and adult advisors, who participated in a Philmont Trek last year, available to talk about Philmont and to answer your questions. We’ll also be showing slides from that trek.
Philmont Scout Ranch is the BSA's oldest national high-adventure base. Its 34 staffed camps and 55 trail camps provide an unforgettable adventure in the high country along hundreds of miles of rugged, rocky trails. It challenges Scouts with more than 200 square miles of rugged New Mexico wilderness. To be eligible for a Philmont trek, scouts must be at least First Class rank and be age 14 by September 1, 2010. One of the trek crews will be co-ed; the other will be all boys.
