Holiday Greetings Scouter,
On behalf of the Jersey Shore Council, the staff of the Citta Scout Reservation and myself I wanted to wish you a Happy Holidays.
Here in the midst of the holiday season and the typical wintertime stuff that consumes us all, shopping, cold weather, popcorn, family gatherings, and vacations. I hope you can remember the good times and good weather we had this past summer at Citta. You’ll be pleased to know that we are more then half way to capacity (if you plan on joining us, give me a call as soon as possible so I can at least pencil you in). I can assure you we are thinking about and acting on many 2008 summer season plans for camp. We promise to continue to provide a GREAT summer time program for your troops and we hope you’re looking forward to another season with us.

Order of the Arrow Awards: Kichkinet Award for 1st Year Boy Scout Campers - The Kichkinet Award is designed for the first year Camper and is a basic review of the Tenderfoot requirements. The Kichkinet Award is easily included in a normal camp schedule; the rank is elementary and earning it should cause little interference with other camping activities The Kichkinet Award must be earned at Boy Scout Summer Camp at Citta Scout Reservation. 
Allowat Sakima Award for 2nd year Camper Boy Scouts - The Allowat Sakima Award is designed for the second year camper, but if the Scout is qualified when he first comes to camp, he should consider completing both the Kichkinet and Allowat Sakima awards so that he will be ready for the Order of the Arrow membership the next year. The Allowat Sakima award is easily included into a normal camp schedule.
The Joseph A Citta Scout Reservation is the perfect place for your unit’s summer camp adventure. Whether you are filled with first year Scouts or you have a Patrol of 17 year old Eagle Scouts, we have activities for them all! The Citta Scout Reservation rests on 485 acres of pristine New Jersey Pinelands, just 15 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean! Citta has teamed up with many outside organizations to offer your unit the best Summer Adventure available at the Jersey Shore!
Merit Badges - Citta offers nearly fifty different merit badge programs through the camp. New for 2005 are: Medicine, Insect Study, Public Speaking, and the Eagles’ Nest Area (which offers 5 Eagle Required Merit Badges)!
COPE - The Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience Course at Citta is top-notch. We have a climbing wall that towers over our lake, and a zip-line that seems to go on forever. If you want to truly test your limits come spend a week on our COPE course!
First Year Camper - The Brookville Beaver Program at Citta is an excellent first year camper program. Scouts get to work on requirements from Tenderfoot-First Class as well as earn the Basketry and Leatherwork Merit Badges. Scouts also have a free period where they can take a merit badge of their choice during the day. On Wednesdays the Beavers go on a group overnight and have their own campfire and special program!
Treks - The Joseph A Citta Scout Reservation has been vastly expanding its Trek program over the past few years. Through partnering with local organizations we have been able to offer the Tuckerton Seaport Archeology Trek, The Day at the Beach Trek, and Surfing Lessons! This summer we will also be offering full day adventure Treks, as well as a full Trek week August 7-15!!
Provisional - We offer provisional camping every week at Citta. With so much to do you will need a second week just to experience half of it! If you are going to another camp, well send your new boy patrol to Citta.
Leader Activities - Citta is not just a great time for your Boys; it is also a great time for the Leaders! We offer a myriad of training experiences including- Youth Protection, New Leader Essentials, Safety Afloat, Safe Swim Defense, Leave No Trace, and many others. There is also Citta’s Outdoor Program for Adult Leaders, where leaders get to get as involved in camp as the Scouts are.
