Tip of the Week: Create a Permission for Event Viewing
For folks in the office that need just an overview and reports for events, try setting up an "Event Viewing" role for them using the new permissions features. This role will allows them to get an overview of monies collected, registration status and total registrants, and also run reports, but they cannot change the event nor any of the registrations.
Created the role by going to Member Mangement--> Permission Roles. From the permission list select Manage Events and assign the level "Reports", which provides view only access. Administrators assigned to this role can click on Event Management, then click on Details of any event and they are presented with a summary page of registrations and money collected for that event, as well as links to run reports.
Adjust Sub Activity Option
For Program events, be sure to use the Adjust Sub Activities option located in "Create and Edit Programs" to copy the Register By Date and Edit Until Date from the session level to each of the sub activities. This ensures you have uniform dates across all your sub events and classes.
