Audubon Nature Institute improves online registration capability for its Education Programs

NEW ORLEANS, LA and SARATOGA, CA – The Audubon Nature Institute (www.audubonnatureinstitute.org), whose core component of its multi-faceted mission is to “Educate Our Diverse Audience About the Natural World”, is now providing online registration & payment capability for all its Education curriculums via online services provided by Doubleknot, Inc (www.doubleknot.com).

Education participants will be able to register and pay for programs, access educational material and communicate with educators via the Audubon website.  “We are able to add higher value services to our existing web presence and satisfy our community’s growing demand for online access to us and our facilities”, says Audubon Nature Institute President and CEO Ron Forman, “at the same time adhering to our data protection and privacy policies for youth and others online.”

Registration is now available to members and the public for course taught at three of Audubon’s facilities, the Audubon Zoo, Louisiana Nature Center, and Aquarium of the Americas.  After a review of over 30 solutions, Audubon chose Doubleknot because of its powerful combination of flexibility and affordability that addressed the unique needs of each facility for curriculum/event management, large group program registration and individual class/event registration.

“This solution will provide the tool our registrars need to keep up with the growth of our educational offerings,” said Brenda Walkenhorst, Associate Director of Zoo Education, “and enable educators to keep in closer touch with our community via e-newsletters, email communications, surveys and moderated bulletin boards and forums.”

“Doubleknot is proud to be selected by such a prestigious and forward thinking institution as Audubon.  Doubleknot’s suite of online applications is a perfect fit for their needs and very well suited to nature-based organizations.  As with all our clients, our service is helping Audubon realize its revenue generating potential and reduce costs,” says Joe Garappolo, CEO of Doubleknot.
