2019 Council Klondike Derby Championship

Camp Cachalot

WHEN - Saturday -  March 2, 2019 

          Registration/weigh-in  begins - 6:45 AM - 8:30 AM 

          Event begins -  8:45 AM - 6:00 PM 

WHERE - Cachalot Scout Reservation - 1 Scouting Way Plymouth, Massachusetts

Check-in located in the Welcome Center

Parking instructions - Please park trailers in front of the maintenance shed and park together with your unit.

WHAT - The Klondike Derby is an annual winter event based on the heritage and history of the Alaskan Gold Rush.  The event is designed for patrols to go from station to station with a traditional Klondike sled to test their skills and leadership ability int he outdoor winter environment.

                You will compete against other teams in a series of scouting and team events compiled from all the other council Klondike derbies. 

          WHY - Compete against other Klondike winners to see who the true Klondike champion is. 

          WHO -  The top 6 qualifying sleds from the Camp Yawgoog, Cachalot, Aquapaug, Buckhill and Champlin's Derby. (Scouts, Webelos and Venturers)
