Dear Cub Scout leaders,

The Pack race day is coming up in a little over a week. Sorry for the late notice - I only volunteered for the job of lead derby pit-crew a week ago. This is a day for any pack in the Santa Barbara - Goleta - Montecito - Carpinteria area to have private access to the Los Padres Council track, all setup.

Most packs can run their races in 30 minutes if they show up 30 minutes early to check-in. I'm hoping to get the building open by 8:30 to setup the track so it will be ready to race by 9am. If you pack has more than 20 scouts racing please tell me and you will get more time.

Check-in consists of inspecting and weighing the cars - which may cause need for last minute changes.

Can all recipients of this email respond to me and tell me:

• desired time slot and number of scouts, or
• if you should not be getting this email and another should, or
• you are not a cub leader but still involved with scouts and want to help!
