Save the date to join us on Friday, March 24 to recognize and thank Scouting's great volunteers in the North Star District. Volunteers make a significant difference in the lives of our youth and delivering the Scouting program. Gathering will begin at 6:30 and the dinner and program will begin at 7 p.m. at the LDS church building located at 6051 Dorrell Lane in Las Vegas. The event will feature award presentations and key note speaker Mike Marchese, Scout Executive and CEO of the Las Vegas Area Council.
You can register online or in person at the Council office. Registration cost for the dinners is as follows:
- $15 per person (Register by March 21)
- $20 per person when you register the night of the event
- $5 per child for the babysitting service (They will be fed dinner, watch a movie, and the nursery will be open)

All those nominated for the Spark Plug, Super Spouse, and Super Couple award will be recognized and thanked.
- Spark Plug Award (Who is the spark plug in your Unit that makes a difference to keep Scouting running)
- Super Spouse Award (We all know that a supportive partner and spouse makes a significant difference in our ability to serve youth in Scouting! Take an opportunity to thank your spouse! Take them to a great dinner (a night out), and let us say thank you to them!
- Super Couple Award (Scouting builds families. Who is that couple that uses Scouting to grow closer together, strengthen their family and help our kids?)
Come celebrate with us in recognizing Scouting's great volunteers! Dinner will be held in the main gymnasium and guests will be seated in tables of eight. Come dressed in full Scout uniform or executive business. Special thanks to Doug Winters and Rod Sanborn for leading our North Star District Scouting team, and to Danielle Jones for chairing the 2017 North Star District Dinner.
