Duties of a Den Chief:
Set an example for the boys in den. Someday they will be boy Scouts.
You are a leader, not a camper. You need to help boys who are having difficulty with crafts or rules for games.
Take roll call each day. Mark them present and report to the Den Leader any campers that are absent.
Help you den make up a den yell or cheer.
Help your Den Leader keep track of where every boy in your den is.
Encourage fair play and good sportsmanship- -be good winners as well as good losers.
Live up to the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.
Keep a song or short game ready in the back of your mind in case you have to wait to start an activity.
At the end of the day , each boy must be signed out on the roster.
Help your Den Leader clean up in the den site at the end of the day. During the day, encourage your campers to keep the area clean and pick up trash around camp.
Provide Camp Director with a completed Health Form, Parts A & B.
HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!!!
