The College of Commissioner Science (CCS) is offering a series of professional educational workshops that will feature diverse hands-on techniques that will enable the participants to fully understand some “best practices” involved in adult volunteer training. The overall outcome of the series of courses is that the participants will become competent, comfortable, and equipped with the latest ‘tools” designed to heighten their knowledge base.
The following sessions are an “extension” offering of the College of Commissioner Science, and are being offered to all commissioners (Unit, District and Council) in the Las Vegas Area Council, whether they are in the bachelor, master, and doctorate programs, and also to those scout leaders not currently in the CCS programs at all. The sessions will be open to all committee members (pack, troop, varsity, or venturing).
The six 5-hours sessions will be offered monthly, on Saturday mornings at the Donald W. Reynolds Scouting Resource Center – 7220 S. Paradise Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89119. You may attend any course or all six. Check-in for the courses begin at 8:00 am with the sessions going from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm. There is no cost to attend the courses.

Team Planning and Decision Making
|
Whether you are working alone or with others, many of the decisions you make are related to achieving the goals and performing the tasks of a team. Team Planning is defined as a process of thinking about and organizing the activities required in achieving desired goals. Team Planning involves the creation and maintenance of a plan. This thought process is essential to the creation and refinement of a plan, or integration of it with other plans; that is, it combines forecasting of developments with the preparation of scenarios of how to react to them.
