Hunter Safety Class
October 26 & 27
Rota-Kiwan Scout Reservation
All registered Scouts and family members are invited to join us to learn safe hunting practices at a Hunter Education Class and earn the Hunter Safety Certificate.
This course two day course will be offered on one weekend in 2012 and will cover Archery, Shot Gun and Rifle. Live fire activities will be included weather permitting. There is no minimum age for this course; however the course and materials are at a 5th grade reading level.
***Any participant under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult***
Class time (for either weekend): Friday registrations will begin at 5:30 at the Boy Scout Dining Hall at Rota-Kiwan Scout Reservation, class will be dismissed at 9:00pm. Saturdays, please report at 8:00 am, class will be dismissed after completion of the exam around 4:00pm. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Cost: $10.00 per participant. There will be a pre-registration of names and birthdates for safety certificates..
There is a class limit of 30 (Scouts and family members)!!
Pre-class work: Participants must pick up and read the Hunter Safety Book form the Scout Service Center prior to class.
What to Bring: You’re Hunter Safety Book
Please dress appropriately
What not to Bring: Your firearm, ammunition, bow or arrows!
