Colonel Rick Searfoss, Astronaut, USAF retired, former Top Gun fighter pilot; test pilot, distinguished teamwork and leadership expert and Eagle Scout has flown three highly successful space missions.  The Colonel will be the featured speaker at the 2012 Major Member Dinner and will offer the Real "Right Stuff" for effective leadership, teamwork, and success.

As the only Astronaut to have earned the National Speaker Association Certified Speaking Professional designation, you will find his compelling stories and remarkable experiences inspiring, informative, and entertaining.

As proud partners in the STEM initiative, the Boy Scouts' program focus on skills that are relevant and needed in our competitive world and provides opportunities for youth of all levels of Scouting to develop an enhanced interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. For that reason, the Los Padres Council is proud to host Astronaut. Space Shuttle mission commander pilot and Eagle Scout, Rick Searfoss who will share how the scouting program helped him to find the Real "Right Stuff" with a spectacular video an still imagery of his amazing journey!
