Del-Mar-Va Council BSACub Scout STEM Day

Cub Scout STEM Days

The Boy Scouts of America developed the Nova Awards program to excite and expand a sense of wonder in our Scouts. By working with an adult counselor or mentor, the various modules allow them to explore the basic principles of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and discover how fun and fascinating STEM can be.

The Del-Mar-Va Council will be running a series of 3 days in January through March that will give Cub Scouts an opportunity to complete portions of the NOVA Awards. The focus will be on achieving the requirements that are more difficult to do outside of a home or Den meeting setting. Each event will focus on a different award, so Cubs can attend multiple events.  Please note that each award does have up to two requirements that are unable to be completed during the event. These requirements are best done at home or a Den meeting, and may be completed either before or after the event to finish earning the award.
