Do you want to celebrate the Boy Scouts of America with over 35,000 scouts from around the world?

Do you want to attend the first National Jamboree at The Summit?

Do you want to tour historic national sites for a week?

Do you want to ensure a group of local Scouts, and your own son, get to experience the best Scouting can offer?

Then apply to be a 2013 National Jamboree Leader.

 

The Cascade Pacific Council will be sending hundreds of scouts to the Jamboree during the summer of 2013.  During the two week trip, scouts and their leaders will tour the Washington D.C. area for one week and camp at a national High Adventure base for another week.  This Jamboree is certain to be like no other as the Boy Scouts of America enjoys The Summit as a new Jamboree location. note: The start and end dates of the adult application are the anticipated interview dates. each applicant will be contacted to schedule an exact interview time.


Positions recruiting for (Click for job description): 

 

Unit Leader Qualifications

 

Scoutmaster:

·          Have served as Scoutmaster for at least one year during the three-year period prior to July 1, 2013.

·          Completed basic This is Scouting, Scoutmaster Specific and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills. 

·          Be able to serve as a role model of physical fitness.

·          Have participated in the pre-jamboree training experience.

·          Have filed a National Scout Jamboree Personal health & Medical Record, Class 3, before a pre-jamboree training with the Council Jamboree Committee.

·          Complete the BSA Youth Protection Training.

·          Be approved by the local council.

·          Be flexible and a team player.

·          Although not required, Wood Badge and/or Scouter’s Key are desirable qualifications.

First Assistant Scoutmaster:

·          Same Qualifications as Scoutmaster.

Second Assistant Scoutmaster:

·          Be at least 25 years of age by July 1, 2013.

·          Have served actively in an adult troop leadership position for at least one year during the three-year period prior to July 1, 2013.

·          Have participated in the pre-jamboree training experience.

·          Complete the BSA Youth Protection Training.

·          Be approved by the local council.

·          Be flexible and a team player.

Third Assistant Scoutmaster:

·          Be at least 18 years of age (but not 26) by August 27th, 2013.

·          Have served actively in a troop leadership position.

·          Have participated in the pre-jamboree training experience.

·          Have filed a National Scout Jamboree Personal health & Medical Record, Class 3, before a pre-jamboree training with the Council Jamboree Committee.

·          Complete the BSA Youth Protection Training.

·          Be approved by the local council.

·          Be flexible and a team player.
