All home-schooled children, and their families are invited to a fun-filled educational day in the wilds of the Zoo on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Keeper chats and activity stations tailor-made for home-schoolers will be available throughout the park. Enjoy asking keepers your best animal questions around the Zoo's world-class exhibits, and consider purchasing additional tickets to the Zoo's Wild Wonders Live Animal Program and/or lunch!

Wild Wonders Live Animal Program “Wild About Reptiles and Amphibians”:
The Wild Wonders Live Animal Program will focus on the amazing adaptations of reptiles and amphibians in celebration of our soon to open Museum of Living Art. The program will be presented inside the Education Center. You must pre-purchase your tickets by Wednesday, February 24, 2010 for this program as attendance is by reservation only. One ticket with total number of participants is issued for each group. Wild Wonders Live Animal Program times are listed on the registration link below.

Animal Adaptations Self-Guided Backpack Tour:

Challenge your observatory skills through a "Bingo" quest to find physical and behavioral characteristics. The Adaptations backpack comes with two pairs of binoculars, one nylon backpack, one elementary level and one secondary level scavenger hunt activity and a teacher's guide. Cost is $10.00 per backpack.  Please visit us on-line for free pre and post visit activities to enrich your day.

Lunches:
Pre-ordered lunch pick-up will be located in the Bluebonnet Cafe in Texas Wild!. You must pre-purchase your tickets for this particular lunch as it is by reservation only. Refer to the registration link below to order your lunches and select a pick-up time. Please be aware if you are purchasing for a group, you will receive only one ticket with your group number for your entire group. Participants must have a ticket to receive lunches. Lunch includes hot dog, chips and lemonade.

Registration Information:
You may pre-purchase your discounted Zoo admission tickets, lunches and Wild Wonders Live Animal Program tickets by Wednesday, February 24, 2010. If you register on-site the day of the event, only discounted admission tickets will be available. Lunch and Wild Wonders Live Animal Program tickets are only available by pre-registering. Sorry, no phone registrations.

Early Ticket Pick-Up:
Pre-registered tickets may be picked up at the Guest Relations office at the front entrance of the Zoo starting on Friday, February 26, 2010 through Sunday, February 28, 2010 during normal Zoo operating hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pre-registered tickets not picked up during the early pick up period will be available at Will Call starting at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, March 4, 2010.
