The lessons of Scouting are best learned, and most fondly remembered, when taught in the outdoors. We have a great resource in the beautiful land around us all over Northern California. Marin Council is particularly fortunate to have three outstanding pieces of property: Camp Tamarancho outside Fairfax in Marin County, Marin Sierra near Emigrant Gap in the Sierra Nevada, and Slane's Flat on the edge of the Yolla Bolly Wilderness.
We encourage Scouts to take advantage of both of these camps as often as possible. Both camps are also available to non-Scouting groups, and make outstanding locations for a retreat or other getaway.
Call the Scout Service Center for details and to request your reservation. Go here to register and find information for Boy Scout Resident Camp at Camp Marin Sierra.
To work at either camp, download the camp staff application.
